Professor Victor Snieckus to Lecture at Cambridge Major July 28, 2005

Seminar to focus on Metalated Flatland Motifs in Pharma R&D

Professor Snieckus will be speaking at our next "Chemistry That Works" Invitational Lecture Series. Professor Snieckus' research focuses on the development of new synthetic methodology based on the Directed ortho Metalation (DoM) reaction and its links with modern transition metal catalyzed processes. His contributions range from discovery of new carbanionic aromatic chemistry to new protocols for the synthesis of heterocycles (in particular indoles, pyridines) and the construction of heteroaromatic natural products (e.g. alkaloids, antibiotics, antitumor agents).

Join us for good food and fine wine as we discuss and debate various chemistries.
