Rebounding from the RecessionHow did your service provider fare in the great recession of 2009? So we’ve all breathed a sigh of relief . . . . 2009 is behind us, and it looks like a slow recovery is making its way into the broader economy generally, and into the outsourced API market more specifically. In the first quarter, CML saw a spike in new inquiries, proposals, and project acceptances from new (mostly emerging) pharma customers. These are encouraging signs; and “cautious optimism” is the phrase of the day.
CML Spearheads A New Drug Development Cluster in EuropeCML recently unveiled the Chemistry Playbook™ in the US; in Europe, CML has lead the formation of a cluster of expert service providers, each involved in different parts of the development cycle. Having up to 20 years of experience in their respective fields, the members are all well established in the pharma and biotech sector. The cluster of expert service providers has developed a novel outsourcing concept based on the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
